It's upsetting, and it seems unreal when you are suddenly shrouded in darkness when all there is is everything you have not yet engaged. To be sad over a vast and vague combination of reasons inside of a subtle intensity...where does one go to catch a breath? Confused and lackluster. We choose to abstain the connection to our outer identities and inner intentions...to live in an unknown chaos continuously and silently...while time passes by day after day. Your looks fade, and your mind grows tired...and the next thing you know when you try to open your eyes you are staring back at a stranger. Why does time disappear in the sweetest moments of our lives? Why are we left pondering in the shadows of a minutes passed?

PenPals: A Forgotten Delight
Feeling down and alone? Is your social life lacking? Do you wish you had someone to talk to? Or maybe you want to learn about other cultures?
Email penpals or even snail mail penpals are out there. You just need to know where to look. After some research I found this website:
http://penpalsnow.com/
Someone in need of a penpal can sign up for free and post an ad about who they are looking to share ideas with. And people browsing ads can email or snail mail someone they feel they can connect with.
Yes! The want and need to write and email complete strangers still exist. It isn't an elementary school experience anymore. The above listed website lets you search for males or females within an age group and country of your choosing.
I had an ad up for three days, and I have already been emailed by about 17 people from all over the world looking for a new friend.
Here are some helpful links for people new to penpaling:
http://www.ehow.com/how_13423_write-first-letter.html
http://www.ehow.com/how_13424_practice-proper-pen.html
Please remember these tips:
1. Writing one or two line emails or letters are not going to help people get to know you.
2. End each email or letter with a question so your penpal has a good topic to write to you about.
3. If you don't feel comfortable talking to a specific person it is okay to say no and cut off contact.
Warning: Unfortunately if you post an ad people looking to scam you might contact you. It is safer if you use a Post Office Box mailing address instead of your home address, and maybe create a new email address so if you get spammed it will not affect your personal email account. Don't give details when writing back and forth that would provide someone with enough information to come look for you in real life. Do not accept marriage proposals or money.
Penpaling is fun. Please be safe.
Thanks so much for reading.

Disaster and Double Lives
When disaster threatens by hanging around and waiting to strike when not entirely expected, it feels like you are living a double life. Your first life, your original life, has to go on like normal because not everyone believes in the pending disaster, and if you worry too much over it then your quality of life is sacrificed.
Your second life is made of preparations, awareness, and caution. When information is withheld on an International level, you have to trust yourself to believe in the right things. You become so thankful that there are other people in the world as concerned as you and are able to provide useful information and facts to help guide you back to living your original first life full time.
The general public is not aware, and they ridicule those that seek the truth. You make requests for them to make simple changes that would provide great benefits to everyone, and they ignore your requests and make fun of your concerns. Then when a pending disaster becomes full force they are the ones that ruin the high percentage of survival. They panic, they think only of themselves, and they create such a havoc to those around them that everyone suffers. And sometimes the ones you have to depend on, whether by choice or necessity, leave you in the dust.
It's hard to continue with your original life, when your second "aware" life wants to take over. You have to trick your mind that going to work is still beneficial even though it cuts out of your time to prepare and research. There is always that chance that the pending disaster disappears, and if you quit going to work you would face a whole other set of problems in your original life: unemployment, loss of house, loss of insurance, depression, worry, etc.
Is there such a thing as a balance between the two? We aren't prepared/programmed to know how to deal with our own friends making fun of us because we are concerned with our well being, and we know that we cannot trust everything we are told by the authorities and other "official" sources.

Cocktail of Health
It's the outcome of a cocktail consisting of things people said, looks I've been given, the annoying hopeless girl that sits behind me at the office, and the general outlook of my life at the present time.
I'm going to fix my current pit of despair. Since Sunday (today = day 4) I have been eating breakfast before work instead of secretly eating at my desk part way through the morning. Sunday and Monday I took a walk on my breaks. Tuesday (and after work today) I started to exercise at home again regardless of the broken monitor on my bike.
I am keeping track of calories consumed vs. calories burned and activities, and I have come to think of it as one of those addicting Facebook games. I have a list of objectives, and unlike FB I don't need to rely on other people to help me achieve. I can see my progress all computerized. I use FitDay.com
I make a point of getting ready for bed and going to bed earlier even though it means that I can't see my husband when he gets home from work. if I stick to this schedule I will not see him at all except Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturday mornings. But I need to be healthy so it's an unfortunate change I need to deal with.
Yes, life sucks, but it has its graceful lovely moments. You have to work for everything and don't get much in return. It's short though so suck it up and do the best you can. It's all about what you make of it.

Plans. A plan?
Plan A.
Don't rush to buy a house. Go back to school...online. I like that. I get the education without all the annoying people and drama on my own time. It will only take 2 years, and there will always be that to fall back onto if need be. And the hubby will go to school too so we will have a solid back up plan. Hang around the area for awhile enjoying friends and family, then moving out of state. Starting new. Fresh.
Scary, intoxicating, freedom.
Plan B.
